Desperate Girls Soccer coach needs ideas and advice!?

I have coached 4th and 5th grade girls soccer and always had a great track record (wining all but one game a season). This year we have had 4 games and been creamed, I really mean creamed! They some how lop sided the 6-8th grade teams and I have NO big girls and NO older girls. The girls I do ave are smart and quick but are losing confidence. I tell them winning does not matter but… to them it does. Any ideas on how a smaller sized team can strategize to get the ball around the big girls and keep it on the offensive? I do have an awesome goalie and she kicks it almost to the opposing goalie line, but the other team knocks it right back down field. Please help. Also, I need to teach them how to be aggressive, Ideas?

Well first of all you want your team to be aggressive but yet you tell em winning is not everything and there loosing confidence. That happens to any loosing team I played soccer in high school and i play for my division 2 college team, I also played when I was in the 5th grade and to me at that time soccer was just fun no pressure from coaches, parents or college recruits. Coach what you need to do is tell the girls to start watching soccer on tv I would recommend European Soccer Leagues from Italy ,Spain or England if you want to be more aggressive you have got to turn practices into a form of boot camp make workouts much longer and show them that it’s all or nothing when you step into the pitch but then remember there just kids so I don’t know how that would go with the girls that would probably make them want to quit or do some other sport that will bring them fun with their friends.
